Process of Monitoring progress

At BBrainy® International School we have a unique Curriculum Information System.

This page explains how we track students' progress. We use a special system to monitor each student's learning goals. These goals are shown on a dashboard where students can see what they have achieved and what they still need to do.

Students and teachers can give feedback, helping improve learning. This system ensures personalized and flexible education.

1. Linking learning objectives to the student

All learning objectives to be achieved by the student are linked to the individual student.

The learning objectives are organized into learning objective cards, learning lines, and domains.

These objectives are sourced from national guidelines or curriculum committees from various schools. They can be expanded upon by mutual agreement.

The relevance and number of domains depend on the specific course.

Our database contains thousands of learning objectives from various countries and school types. This includes primary and secondary education, vocational studies, and applied universities.

Only relevant learning objectives are linked to each student, forming the foundation of their detailed portfolio.

This can be seen as the contract between the student and BBrainy® International School.

We track both concrete learning objectives and competencies.

2. Dashboard for student

On the dashboard, students can see their learning objectives in clear overviews. The achieved status is displayed, including attachments or feedback from the teacher.

This allows students to easily track what they have already accomplished and identify the learning objectives that still need to be met.

The learning objectives the student will work on are determined by the chosen learning method, such as a textbook.

However, the student has the flexibility to pursue additional goals beyond the scope of the prescribed method at any time.

Feedback by student

3. Feedback given by student

The student can provide feedback on any learning objective at any time. They can ask for help, share their feelings, or submit their work.

Through the feedback, the student justifies his/her opinion. In addition, evidence for the achievement of the learning objective can be uploaded, such as a file on Google Drive. Links to supporting evidence such as a video on YouTube can also be added.

A student can provide feedback on any learning objective at any time. Even if the learning objective was not covered (yet) during a lesson.

Feedback by teacher

4. Feedback given by teacher

Teachers can give their judgement per learning objective.

Aside from this, teachers can also review periods or projects.

Teachers also have the option to adapt their teaching methods to better align with both their own needs and those of their students for particular learning objectives. For example, to respond to current events

All our teachers have access to view the learning objectives for all students.

Based on the feedback provided by each student, teachers can evaluate the achievement of these learning objectives.
